Hepburn Baptist 2007 Christmas Play
Since September, students and adults have been working on a Christmas Play to present to the church family during this Advent Season. "It All Happened In The Country" is a Christmas play that retells the Christmas story in a Beverly Hill Billies style. The plot focuses on two kids from the city who are stranded at the home of relatives who live in the country. The city kids are anxious to return home to their big city Christmas parties and leave behind their country relatives who they find annoying. Sadly, the city kids do not have a clue about the biblical Christmas story. As the visit goes on the city kids begin to learn from their country relatives the true meaning of Christmas. The play includes lots of singing and plenty of laughs, along with sharing to gospel account of Jesus birth. The drama team did a fantastic job presenting the play to both the seniors at Outlook Point on Dec. 20th and will present the play to the church family on Dec. 30th. The original plan was to perform the play on Dec. 16th but that was postponed do to an ice storm that closed church that Sunday. Special thanks to everyone who helped to make this Christmas Play a great success.
