Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." - Matthew 19:14

Baptist
Youth
Fellowship

BYF is a gathering of young believers who participate in bible lessons, community service,
fellowship, fun activities and who just enjoy walking through life together and getting to know each other better, but even
more importantly getting to know Jesus better.

BYF at Hepburn Baptist Church is open to any Pre-K to 12th grade student, and inviting friends
is encouraged and welcomed. We try to meet at least 1-2 times a month. There is always
some type of devotional during every BYF activity, as to make each BYF event a praise to our
Lord and a learning experience. We have done various fun activities, as well as community service
activities, plus we carry some of our activities into regular church services, such as Sunday School, Jr. Choir,
Vacation Bible School and camps.

Devotions: Usually center around the type of event we have and appropriate scripture for such.
Community service: Leaf raking, youth plays at nursing homes, Operation Christmas Child, soup kitchen, and more.
Fun activities: Camps, snow-tubing, bike rides, fishing, swimming, bowling, corn maze, and more.

BYF is lead by adults and young adults (LIT - Leaders in Training), so it is also a learning
experience for our seasoned Christians. When appropriate, we will talk one on one with any youth
that has an interest in learning more about baptism. We do believe that a youth needs
to reach a certain maturity to make such a decision and will help them with their journey.

"See to it that you complete the work you have received in the Lord." Colossians 4:17
